External subsidies don't count when it comes to running things 'commercially' as far as I know. Funding for staff and students can carry on if the uni/NHS wish but that is nothing to do with TFGM. TFGM can withdraw their funding. As far as I know, you don't even have to put NHS or Uni funding on the registration. If you get funding from a PTE or council, then it is classed as subsidised. Otherwise it is 'commercial' |

From what's been posted elsewhere as is the norm operators were asked to tender for the contract as it was up for renewal. Bullocks won the tender, presumably offering the lowest price to run it but then Stagecoach decided to register a new '147' service commercially with the route extension so the subsidy was removed all together. It's now a completely commercial set up. |

They did get free travel on the Belle Vue Car Park shuttle services and free travel (as did patients) on the Trafford Shuttle |
