All Circle and Hammersmith & City trains are now S7 class, as are a handful of Edgware Road- Wimbledon runs. They have internal diagrams of Circle/ H&C Line and District Line (inc Edg Rd-Wimbledon) next to eachother. This points to them evetually being used on any of those Lines interchangeably.

Only 7-8 trains of C Stock remain in service for the Edgware Road to Wimbledon line. These will be taken out of service when the Acton drivers have been trained on S7 stock.

Very sad to hear of this. Phil is better known as the voice of many railway stations throughout the country, especially on the Southern Region. I'm not sure where the voice of the 'mind the gap' has come from as he isn't the original voice of that announcement. Still, he was the best of the station announcers for my money and give me his tones over that awful Estuary English voice at stations like Lime Street any day!

A bonus for Siemens with the Thameslink contract all but finished. The downside is that they have to build a factory in Goole after so many new orders with their competitors.
