The contract will no doubt be put up for re tender at the end of five years, which is in 2021.
Just as proposed would happen Rusholme back into service

Sounds like they’re positioning for Rusholme to be the final location of First Manchester, until their contracts are over at least; I’m assuming these can’t be broken without significant financial penalties?

RE: First Manchester
It surely a interesting time ahead for First Greater Manchester, with Oldham Depot left standing and Rusholme reopening temporally.

I do wonder whether oldham will wind down it's operations instead of selling it. as the current network of routes from Oldham Depot are useful than a broomstick in fog.

RE: First Manchester
Ive noticed that there is 203 buses at Bolton including Vantage and Rotalas licence is for 125 seems to be a big reduction even with Vantage not being included

With only the vantage will first be the smallest bus company in the Manchester bus scene

The Diamond Bus NW License was increased by exactly +200 disc's to cover for Bolton.

Rotala will be leasing 125 buses from First for up to two years supplemented by an additional circa 35 buses sourced from both within existing Rotala Group fleets, potentially a smaller batch of single deckers acquired from another operator used. Bolton's fleet total under Rotala will be circa 160 buses.

RE: First Manchester
What about the branding is it all to come under the the diamond brand? Plus with the bus leasing and potentially the franchising coming up where all the buses are going to come under as example the orange scheme

I believe they will be branded Diamond NW - 2 x Volvo/Wright (30851/2) have already been painted up in DBNW two-tone blue & initially gone on loan to Preston Bus.

A third 30857 was ready to go parked up in Rotala's HQ / Diamond Bus West Midlands depot last week.
