First Manchester
RE: First Manchester
Forthcoming Timetables for Oldham services have started to appear on the First website for September. There's another change to the 58/59 service, which will see the 59 run every 10 minutes between Manchester and Oldham via Cheetham Hill, Middleton and Chadderton, continuing every half-hour to Rushcroft via Shaw.

The 58 will run half-hourly between Oldham and Rochdale via Shaw only. Remains to be seen whether the 58/59 will interwork with each other at Oldham or if a change of bus is required for anyone travelling across Oldham.

Also, looking on MyTfGM, there will be changes to services 17 and 18. Middleton-Shudehill will continue to operate every 5 minutes and Langley-Middleton will continue to operate every 10 minutes. However, some journeys on service 18 will be split at Middleton (the current Langley-Chorlton Street journeys), operating as service 17 between Shudehill and Middleton and as new service 19 between Langley and Middleton. Service 18 will run every 20 minutes between Langley and MRI via Middleton and Shudehill.

Also there are a number of Transfers/cascades planed to take place over the coming weeks, which will effect most depots with-in First Bus.

But just for the absolute avoidance of doubt there are no planned moves of Enviros from Bolton to Leeds.

RE: First Manchester
Looking at new 58/59 timetable I'm guessing the same bus could be used from Oldham-Rochdale with 59 coming into Oldham Bus Station then changing to a 58 and continuig to Rochdale, before the recent summer timetable change 13:16 59 Manchester-Oldham Bus Station service would do this, it would get to Oldham Bus Station then drop back about 5mins before leaving Oldham Bus Station on a 58 to Rochdale.

RE: First Manchester
There's no planned refurbs for Bolton, the current loan buses (the Scottish trio) are here to cover for the withdrawn bendy buses until permanent replacements are sourced, the repair log is being brought down over the summer with the spare buses left from the lack of schools.

As well as the Scottish trio, isn't there a B9 up from the South West, as well as a returning B7, initially part of the 2002 Commonwealth Games fleet? Nevertheless that's 5 to replace 18 bendis. Are you saying reducing the number of buses oos for repairs and the PVR from 3 Sept changes will make up the other 13? Eve then, there is still the vexed question of ancient Citaros, Presidents and B7/ALXs..
Al 18 bendies won't have been pulled from service by September 3rd, and the loans at the moment are allowing other buses in the fleet to be completed ready for the school season while there is a lesser requirement. As a side note, although the Scottish three are loans the Bristol bus is permanent and I've not heard exactly why the B7 is here so I can't say. As for the rest of the ancient fleet, it's down to there own depots to replace but as there's Citaros still being repainted out of the old colours, it doesn't appear there's any near future plans...

RE: First Manchester
First still having staffing problems covering evening services, with the following cancelled last night:

19:45 135 Bury-Manchester
19:50 163 Bury-Manchester

Both vehicles for the above services will dumped in Bury Interchange along with a B9TL Gemini which was showing STAFF BUS on the front with no drivers and 19:50 163 was still on stand waiting for a driver when I left at 20:07 on 467 Rosso service to Rochdale.
