No its allocated a single decker as the 706 runs through chain lane and down woodlands road going under the low bridge so deckers are not allowed on there unfortunately.
Not sure on the 38 scenario but il try find out.

Overheard some 38 passengers saying they had been told at a public meeting that Rainford passengers would be back to 2 buses per hour from 21 January -- but there is an on line timetable dated from 20 January still showing one bus per hour:

4438 has lost its All over green and pink vinyl livery and now sports Arriva 2017 Livery.

That is a relief as the contravision makes it fairly dark internally.

Went out & about today & traffic was awful with the Christmas shoppers, buses from Orrell to Wigan were being delayed by anything up to 30 minutes.

are 2525 & 2531 on long Loan or permanently here since I thought the Cadets were leaving?

Revised 38 timetable on Merseytravel website now. 38B extended to Rainford as predicted. Will be interesting to see if it interworks with anything as there will be a lot of layover in St. Helens otherwise.
