Service 358 only able to run between Stockport and Marple this evening at the request of Derbyshire Police, due to the flooding risk at Whaley Bridge.

Shocked RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
All the tridents Stockport have are due to enter service in September, this is due to extra capacity coz of the free bus pass scheme launched and will need extra buses. Stockport manager Stuart Roughly has said these buses are on trial to see how they perform and hopefully it all goes well and for the 68 Reg Enviro400 sat in stockport this bus has been sat there for almost a year now and all staff have no clue why its there or where its came from rumours says that an ADL employee dropped it off and then drove off and since then it's not been started and has been towed around the depot.

Matt Kitchin has said it's there for an IT project/ testing.

It does seem odd that a new bus is just sitting in a depot not earning its keep. Is this the one originally allocated to Carlisle but then identified for a trial of an all-operator TfGM radio communications system similar to the iBus in London? Or maybe someone has just forgotten it exists.LaughLaugh
