There was 3 there at the end of August and they were ex 24004/5/7. All have been sold to an operator in North Manchester for school work apparently.

The electric Enviro400s are due to be of the City variety. These will contrast with all the MMCs here.

Wonder why they have gone for the City version when they have spent so long trying to get the fleet standardised.

The electric buses will only be produced on the City version (at least at first).

This is interesting. Can we assume some Enviro200s will get the Simplibus branding associated with the East Midlands fleet?

It certainly looks that way.

Why would one assume that the renumbering of some routes implies that Simplibus branding is going to be introduced?

I do hope it isn't. I have little truck with pointless branding of this ilk in general; but Simplibus is not merely pointless, it has an insulting edge to it too. What it says to me is : "This is a simple bus. For simple people."

Like ‘Gold’ for special people in ‘nicer’ areas, which I have always thought to be very elitist. Also the Stagecoach Beachball branding is the best national brand and well respected. Why mess about with all these others? Might save money and time having to repaint buses (e,g. Coastliners in Merseyside).
