Before Avon Buses collapsed in 2018, Prenton Dell was served by two routes, the 83A and 91 (Avon commercially Mon-Fri and by A2B with Merseytravel Funding on Saturday). When Avon went bust, Arriva took on the 83A but it only lasted four weeks. As a compromise, the 418 was rerouted via Prenton Dell, but obviously getting to Birkenhead now involves going around the world. As the 91, it was re-tendered but with a different weekday route, possibly to replaced other withdrawn services.
