I fully agree. It's not good but some companies do it. With their private hire fleet being so well used, I would say they are going in high on contracts to make it up. Look at all the rail replacement that they did. I'm guessing they are still doing some. If they can charge enough so that it covers the fleet sitting around for half the week, maybe that is how they do well.

Can't see the AMA1 any more, which ran from Liverpool to Omega, has that ended?
I would assume this was removed from the site due to Amazon. All Amazon buses no longer show up on companies sites. NXWM don't show the Rugeley buses. Howard's don't show Warrington. The Manchester Airport -amazon shuttle doesnt have any timetable. I would say that this is all at the request of Amazon.

Which by itself is meaningless. If it's a 5 year contract that's under £140 per day or less than £20 per journey, while if it's a 2 year contract it's closer to £350 per day or £50 per journey.

It was that price when it was originally tendered, it will have gone up by now with Amazon being there and them having very specialised shift times compared to the rest of the site.

The Metrocity was on the 48 this morning so they've not sold it. Although, given it's claimed Cheshire West have told them the Dart wasn't compliant with the contract terms I don't know what they could use if it was sold unless they go back to F15 HOW or a similar older large bus.

RE: Howards/Springfield
Howards have cancelled the B52 registration on the Springfield Bus & Coach licence and re-registered it on an Ian Howard licence. I think that means there's now no services registered to the Springfield Bus & Coach licence.

RE: Howards/Springfield
It is B S 2 not B 5 2... Very odd. Either a new route number or someone misread the registration form.

Also something to note, it is now under 'In part' subsidy not 'in full'. It was a fully subsidised route so now Howards must see some potential in the route to drop to deminims funding.

Can anyone find a valid 48 registration as well? I have been looking and I can't find one. There is this one which is cancelled as of 30th July 2017. Another registration was then put in on 29th July but this was for 1 day (31st July 2017) (link)

This would suggest to me the 48 isn't registered.

BS2 is likely someone misreading B52 when typing it in. Have you notice there's typos in the place names on that registration as well?

I've noticed the 48 issue as well. I seem to recall they did a new registration for one day after submitting the cancellation request for the wrong date before Cheshire West decided to continue the 48 on a rolling contract. However, there doesn't seem to be any new registration for the rolling contract.

I'm sure there's also an active school service registration which they aren't running as well.

VOSA has been notorious for typos and spelling errors - seen loads over the years.

So what's the usual allocation on the 48 now?
