The last post on the project was issued on 3 October, which suggested some peak time buses would now be retained. I've seen no further updates since this date.

City Centre bus review

Does anyone have any information they are able to share?

From January, according to a notice in the depot, Bootle's 54/56/58A will terminate on Whitechapel and then go to Sir Thomas Street - omitting Moorfields and Victoria Street.

Presumably utilising the pathetic new ‘bus hub’ for layovers?

Because of the volume of complaints and suggestions so they are still looking at some alternatives and variations to it, like the peak hours and more buses down Hanover st not Duke st. They are actually spending time weighing and discussing the new ideas with council depts and bus companies and Merseytravel rather than sticking to the planned start of January even though the hub is ready

It's not only in the peaks either, likes of Lord Street stops can be busy off peak, even Sundays, also can see problems, with only Queen Square being used for routes not using Liverpool One, with the volume of passengers waiting there, at the moment traffic is spread out over the City Centre. The scheme seems to be dreamed up by counsellors who never use the buses, don't know anyone other than them in favour of this scheme.
