RE: Football Buses
There used to be buses to Old Trafford and Maine Road from across the city. They generally ran along the normal route into Manchester and then diverted along the 53 route to the stadium.

The variety of kick off times now must make it impossible for operators to plan ahead whereas in the past you knew the fixtures in June or July now we have to wait each month before the TV companies decide the kick off time.
