I have a paper one, somewhere - I'll try to find it but I think my list of all the Dennis Darts that they had at the time is still online - I'll find a link when I finish work (out of an ex. MTL depot lol) tonight

It seems the list of Darts they had isn't online now however I do have it on my PC so a job to upload at the weekend

From memory, the Darts they had were step entrance Pointers 7411 K911OEM & 7455 K955PBG (both ex Blue Triangle) and 7817 K817NKH (ex MTL London) along with 7520 M20GGY and 7530 M30GGY (both ex Ogdens, St Helens).

Dart SLFs, all new to MTL were Pointer 1s 7531/2 N531/2DWM, 7533-45 P533-45MBU & 7546 R546ABA

Pointer 2s 7547-7554 R547-54ABA, 7556-71 R556-71ABA & 7872-79 S872-9SNB

CNG gas powered Dart SPD/Pointer 2s 6248-51 S248-51UVR (Smart Eco livery for Southport Park & Ride)

Marshall Capitals 7601-7611 T601-11JBA, 7612-23 T612-23PNC, 7624 V624DBN, 7625-7665 V625-65DVU, 7667-75 V667-75DVU & 7676 V676DVM

Other buses off the top of my head, Neoplan N4016s 6402-13, baby Neoplan N4009s 7301-2, Volvo B6/Plaxton Pointers 7201-50, DAF SB220/Ikarus Citibus 6330-34, Optare MetroRiders 7801-11, ex Liverbus Volvo B10B/Northern Counties 6901-13, ex Liverbus Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties 1211/8/9

They had some step entrance Dart/Carlyle too but I can't remember the numbers but they are in my list when I get up back online.

One list that is up and online that could be of interest though - a complete end of GTL list prior to sale to Stagecoach - http://dartslf.com/fleetlists/lists/gtlfleetold.asp

Nice one with the GTL-Stagecoach list, it helps with the Titan list I'm working on.

RE: MTL North fleetlist
I think there were roughly 4-5 of those Carlyle Dart's which transferred to Merseybus/MTL North late 1997 when they won the 100/200 202/204 I know they were numbered 74** and not sure if they matched the fleet numbers I think they wandered from GL to Speke until these routes settled at GL snd the new SLF Pointer 2's came in in Sumner '98.

Here's a pic from our own Buses7675 of 7491 in action.

RE: MTL North fleetlist
In other good news, I've found my paper list from the end of MTL (dated March 2000) but fairly sure it won't be much different given the end of MTL was 18th February 2000.

I'll set about typing it up and formatting it as best I can as per my previous lists and get it up online shortly - Likely to need some help with details though so a project we can all work on as some of it just shows fleetnumbers only with no details as to what the buses were. For some of the Heysham Travel vehicles this could be tricky to work them out!

Beat me too it Smile the fleetnumbers did match the registrations wasn't sure if they did. Forgot they ended up at LS before the Arriva takeover.

IIRC Arriva used a few alongside a couple of odd Duple ones when they reincarnated the 3 for a brief period against GTL's 361 2001?

You forget about these vehicles nowadays with everything very much Arriva and Stagecoach standard spec.

RE: MTL North fleetlist
I think the plaxton darts, olympians and the palatines that were at the Birkenhead depot were damn good buses, they were comfy.

If I had the money to buy 1 of them to run I would certainly do so. I have never driven a semi auto bus like an atlantean so my experience of driving 1 is non existent.

I did ride on these buses frequently which included 7237, 0207, 0212 & 0297
