Just been looking up on the DVLA and it appears that Dennis Dart SLF Plaxton Pointer 2 T439 EBD has been Withdrawn (again) as its showing up as SORN.

Have Wigan Buses LTD ever ran Commercial Services before?

Unsure of commercial work but the company does tend to stick within the Wigan Borough. I can only think of two services they have run which strayed - they previously ran the 603 bringing them into Merseyside and until recently ran the tendered Sunday morning 362 into Lancashire. I think we can class them as Wigan's equivalent to Leigh's Jim Stones.

613 is partly funded on the Platt Lane, Durham Street and St Stephens Avenue section (previously served by SLT's 715 service) but the rest is commercial.

On Saturday i ended up on a Wigan Buses LTD Bus and asked for a Bus and Train System one, i got a Ticket from an old style Ticket Machine and the Driver stamped on the Ticket that it was a System One (however it did not state what type of System One it was!) I have added a photo of the Ticket
In other news Wigan Buses LTD 634 is getting Withdrawn in July

I had a lot of very funny looks and 1 Driver took it of me for a closer look and asked where i got it from but overall i had very few problems using it.

Certainly an odd way of doing things but glad you didn't have any problems using it, although if I was a driver I would have had a courtesy look at it.
I must say before I got my ENCTS pass I used to always be wary of where I bought a System 1 Daysaver from as like you I used to have the odd problem depending which operator I bought it from
