The main deck of the A548 Foryd Harbour Bridge, which connects Rhyl to Kinmel Bay, must be completely replaced because of corrosion damage.

Any road closure, which is likely to last for a maximum of three weeks, would not happen until at least October.

they may operate a shuttle 12x from rhyl - kimmel bay via rhuddlan and st asaph avenue and then conitinue as route 12 from kimmel bay - Llandudno.

A similar thing may happen in rhyl like it did in Llandudno in 2010 when the maesdu bridge was closed

Also on the 51 rhyl - Denbigh today was 4487 , 2647, 2652. What I don't get is why are so many dennis darts like 0839 and 0842 getting put on the 12s rhyl - llandudno

Is the 51 service supposed to go onto the A55, I passed one of Rhyl's DLAs on it this afternoon near the Bodelwyddan junction, with people on board and Rhyl 51 on the dests?

RE: Arriva Buses Wales - Rhyl Depot - SL64 JFK - 22/02/2014 22:14

It does indeed, it uses the A55 between Junctions 25 and 27 according to what I can gather from the service map on the Arriva website, and Google Maps.

Thanks, MX59 JZJ, I know buses use the A55 in other parts of North Wales, just never seen one here before, and definitely not 4091!

Unfortunately we have 8 MPD buses at Rhyl. When we are short of buses for the 12's it's sometimes unavoidable to end up with MPD buses on the 12. I do try and keep it to one if I'm allocating but sometimes I have no choice. Not a fan of MPD's!

I so wish . They would be great on the 51s.

Also I wish we got some cadets working on the 35/36s as I just hate dennis darts
