That will be the one I seen the back of going through Bootle Strand at lunch time, forgotten all about it until now.

So there Sefton you have an inbuilt answer to a problem plaguing Southport Hospital , mind you these days that problem afflicts all hospital's.

I agree that the sensible way to solve the underuse of the Kew P&R site would be to have it serve the hospital. Trouble is, I don't think that the board of the hospital would welcome it as it would mean a drop in parking revenue. Also, the P&R would have to operate until around 2200 to cater for those who are on shifts.

Yes I think the hospital revenue has always been a serious consideration as to why the change hasn't be applied. As for shifts again I agree with your point, but for visitors & day patients it would be a very useful alternative & would help make the service viable & provide people choice, rather than being forced to pay hospital charges or run the risk parking elsewhere.

2110 is earmarked for another depot once MOTed. 7568 made a very hasty departure from the fleet, for scrap I've been told but not confirmed
All remaining Dennis Darts are allocated so for the first time in nearly 3 years there are no loans for service here.

3311 will not be returning after its remedial works at St. Helens it will go to Rhyl.

Does that not leave CR one short? Or is 7637 back from JS?

Optare Solo SR 722 was seen on Chapel Street in Southport this afternoon emblazoned with colourful bunting. Not sure why it was there - only saw it in passing.

2144 was on the PR2 today. This would normally be quite unusual, but I suppose given the summer timetable, the red and cream Enviros find their way onto all three PR routes. The PR1 had sister 2143 and an unidentified Renown.

With Chapel Street being Pedestrianised and with the bunting, I assume it was some form of promotional work. Although I think Solo's would work well on some routes in Southport.

It was the promotion of the start of the £10 weekly ticket for the 42,44,43,46 and the 49 the £10 ticket will be only allowed on these routes in the town , which starts tomorrow or a week tomorrow not sure, until november .
