Most if not all 300s are now TfGM Versas off route 1 in Manchester. I saw YJ60KCY here on August 26th, KCX on September 3rd and KCZ on the 11th. I rode one - I think KCZ - this morning, and it reminded me of Christmas 2010 as that was the other occasion I rode one!

Have MCT got a standard TFGM Hybird Solo in the green/silver/black livery (identical to the ones at First Dukinfield) ? I'm sure I spotted one on the 169 tonight going past my house at around five last eleven (early as normal).
It defiantly wasn't one of MCTs normal white Hybrid Solos that normally work the evening 169.

Its actually a Hybrid Versa and does stand out quite a bit, its YJ11ENR which they have had for quite a bit as it's the old Oldham Metroshuttle vehicle, it spends most of its time during the day on 178 Timperley-Reddish service and very rarely appears on anything else apart from in the evening

Is it in the standard TFGM hybrid livery then?

I've certainly never seen it on the 169 before which is why it took me by surprise.

MCT are trying to get rid of their 3 deckers; I assume their school contract ended

I see MCT have acquired several ex First Greater Manchester Optare Solo M890's over the last few weeks. YJ61-JDX, YJ61-JEU & YJ61-JFA (ex 59011, 59014 & 59015 respectively) all seen so far on routes 44, 307 & 308. Have they acquired the whole 59001-59016 batch?

These vehicles are owned by tfgm and were transfered with the tenders they operate on. Some routes are designated eco friendly

They tend to turn up on anything and don't seem to dedicated to particular services, infact over the last few evenings they have also been used on 169's and on Saturday afternoon I spotted one in Piccadilly on the 44.

I'm not sure whch depot operates which services now since the recent changes but I think unless vehicles swap between Rochdale and Levenshulme depot that most of the aquired TFGM Hybrid SR's are at Rochdale Depot.

As for what services their used on yes they do tend to turn up on virtually anything they operate and sometimes it can be mix and match what gets used on what service with one day one service being operated by Hybrids and the next day Enviro200s will turn up on the same service.

RE: Manchester Community Transport - MX12CFE - 25/06/2015 06:14

MCT have also acquired ex Ace Travel Enviro 200s MX12CFE and MX12CFJ. This has previously been mentioned in the Ace thread. Thinking of taking a trip over to Manchester soon to find them for some photographs. Will they be operating around the Piccadilly area at all or where is the best place and time to find them? Thanks.
