The Red Rocket is set to take of again from November 21st, Not sure what they plan to use but their promo Pic for it is a former Cardiff Bus SPD (S Reg)

From the Timetable there will be a Monday - Sunday Timetable

First couple of trips start at Blackpool and last couple of trips finish in Blackpool, rest of the trips will run between Manchester and Preston only. The Trafford Centre will not be served, standard Adult returns are priced at £12 from Blackpool and £10 from Preston.

Am trying not to laugh but looking at a fully updated Fleetlist for Catch 22 it appears that unless they are going to use the 2 Routemasters and the B10M they will be using SPD's and MPD's to operate the Service (Timetable shows a PVR of 3)

Also, (yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn!) it has not been registered with TFGM, and so it should keep Parking Wardens busy
1 new bus lanes on the east lanc from salford up to the m61 slips
2 it doesnt need to (i dont think) its classed as a express it only stops in albert sq then preston, so as long as itss regd with vosa its ok.
3 albert sq is a 5min bus stop and can be used by any bus service so i assume rocket will alight then go park down liverpool rd or similar then come back just before dep time. tfgm are not resp for timing slots at albert sq the ceo`s will only be involved if they park up for 45 mins and with run up to xmas markets enforcement will be higher around there

i havent looked at the tt myself but they would still need to move off and go round the block just like buses do on layover at parker st
edit just looking it seems some are 20 but some are longer at 35

940a d1015 35mins
1055 1115 20min
1155 1215 20min
1255 1315 20min
1355 1415 20min
1455 1530 35min
1555 1630 35min
1655 1730 35min

Running time is 60 mins not 55 mins so the 11:15, 12:15, 13:15 and 14:15 would be 15 mins layover beforehand and the 10:15, 15:30, 16:30 and 17:30 would be 30 min layover

The only vehicles allowed to stop/wait at a bus stop are the emergency services whilst on an emergency call, and buses/coaches REGISTERED to stop/pick up/set down at that stop. In other words, if it ain't on the stop plate, it shouldn't stop there. As regards stops in Manchester city centre specifically; you are correct that it is not TFGM's responsibility directly, but any operator wishing to introduce new or even increase existing services must get permission from the City Council as part of the TRO in the central area. This is why (for instance) First had to kick alternate 81s and the 88s out of Oldham Street, when other services were increased.
slightly wrong any vehicle with a pcv license can stop in any bus stop unless stated on the tro time plate (no stopping except local service etc). operators dont need permission to stop by mcc that is why daytrippers can use albert sq to pick up and drop off. if they needed permission tourism would lower etc etc

i know this as i was a ceo for mcc during the uk north aka gm buses saga on 192s and 42s

the 81/88 was due to limited space on the stand which led to congestion further up. same with match day 216 using stand opp weathespoons
