They struggle to even get the destinations right. I noticed a few weekends ago their ex London decker parked up in Manchester with the destination 'Manchester Square'. Presumably it has worked a red rocket journey.
Image is clearly something they have no time for.

Nor is consistency; they need a decent input of money to get the fleet to standard or a rethink cause the traffic commissioner won't like dodgy destinations all the time

Like I've said in a previous post. It strikes me as an enthusiast type outfit playing at running bus services, and in all honesty they don't stand a chance against BT. All I see when I've been in Blackpool is empty buses carrying fresh air. It was standing room only on BT services!

I think that the seafront service, which I believe runs only during the summer, could have been made much better with a bit more marketing, and also serving a few residential streets in St. Annes. The basic idea is that the service, the 12, could have served some residential streets in St. Annes, and then the emphasis could've been put on this service providing a more direct link to Blackpool town centre than what the BTS routes 7 and 11 do. At the Cleveleys end, it could've served some residential streets in Cleveleys then the bus station towards Clevelys, with the reverse happeining towards St. Annes. Again, emphasise the direct and quicker link than some BTS services.

The other thing is that there are just three routes serving the Victoria Hospital. One of them runs half hourly, another hourly. Oakwood could exploit this surely by launching a route from St. Annes to Blackpool town centre, and then onto the hospital. I'm aware Stagecoach run routes from Fleetwood to Cleveleys and thence to Victoria Hospital and Blackpool, but there are still some streets not served with a direct link to the Hospital.

I have to admit, I don't live in Blackpool, so my views are those of an outsider.

Which means (for those interested):

Given the increasing number of vehicles from Cardiff Bus, I wonder how long it will be before a bilingual fleet name is adopted!
