The capacity of the Solo M720SRE is confirmed as B23F (so one more seat than the M710SEs), with a standing capacity of 9, vs 12 on the M710SEs.

Weight is 5480kgs, vs 5370kgs for an M710SE.

While waiting for my own bus to come in yesterday the new Solo SRE came in on the 173/4 and during its break the driver let me get some photos

RE: HTL Buses - motormayhem - 18/05/2013 23:08

I think a driver got confused tonite as i seen a merc sprinter on the 196 at thomas drive displaying"147 st helens" and actually carried on all through shaw lane and prescot still displaying it.

RE: HTL Buses - buses7675 - 19/05/2013 15:15

Not guilty (I wasn't driving last night!) but I can see how it could happen as 147 St Helens is one code down from 196 St Helens on the destination screens!

RE: HTL Buses - motormayhem - 19/05/2013 16:05

Yeah i noticed it wasnt you or id of been tormenting you about it lol.
It looked to be a driver not to fimiliar with the route as he looked and seemed a bit confused on coming back up fazakerly road to which turning he was going to turn at lol.

RE: HTL Buses - buses7675 - 19/05/2013 16:14

I remember that feeling well from the first time I did that route, the estates around Prescot seemed very confusing (and I already had half an idea knowing at least which bit Cross Lane was!) but now having done the 196, both versions of the 248 and the morning 194 all in the same area it all seems easy! I did get it correct first time (I was taught well by another driver!) but the first time on your own on a route can be a bit daunting!

RE: HTL Buses - motormayhem - 19/05/2013 17:21

My first day driving a bus was round skem and thats a place and half to drive buses, you will be glad htl dont run buses round there lol.

RE: HTL Buses - motormayhem - 19/05/2013 17:23

196/147,156/602,141/36,248 and sure ive seen one on the 194/195.
