What looks like 2345 is currently parked up on layover at Bootle Strand right now, can't be 100% as 10 floors up but I am fairly certain that it is that one.

It is 2345 as i got it on the 68 heading to Aigburth, just by Penny Lane now for anyone whos looking for it

RE: Arriva North West - Green Lane Depot - R329 WVR - 30/03/2015 14:54

2345 is back out, used at the last minute this morning to replace 2707 on a 68

RE: Arriva North West - Green Lane Depot - MPTE1955 - 31/03/2015 09:40

2345 is once again out on 68 today, so not withdrawn just yet.

With thanks to the Arriva North West Facebook page it is likely that 2345 will continue in service until Green Lane's new double deckers arrive in April or May. Even at fifteen years old this is still an excellent bus and it was faultless (much better than an X-ANC) when I had it a couple of weeks ago on the 68

It'll be the end of an era at Green Lane depot when 2345 is finally withdrawn - but the start of another as Green Lane finally receives the allocation of a double deckers again with the 10B, 12/13 and 15 all being converted to Enviro400 operation within the space of five months. Here's hoping that there's another batch of deckers at Green Lane next year for the 14 and/or 18

Bye bye 2345! Interestingly it looks like it has a CCTV screen on the top deck like the Cross River Enviros, perhaps Arriva taking the reputation of Cantril Farm into consideration here?

Good find there mate - not long at all now! It's possible CCTV screens could be included on this batch because 4584-4636 weren't originally ordered for the North West - although on saying that 4556-4583 weren't delivered with CCTV screens either. It is a possiblity that Arriva could be introducing next stop information - as the screen is definitely in the right position for it

It could also just be a shift in policy for standard specification deckers. It will be interesting to see if Speke's are fitted with the screens, seeing as they wouldn't really be required on the 75 and none of their previous deckers has been fitted.

Either way, a terrific photo and the dawn of a long-awaited new era for the undersold 12/13 and 15 routes!
