Hydrogen is gas

Hydrogen fuel cells, which is actually what the bus is powered by (using possitively charged electrolyte ions and oxygen to generate electric current) can use liquid hydrogen as any damage to the storage container or pressure change will cause the gas to explode. Hydrogen is one of the most highly reactive and unstable elements, especially in ionic form. (It's very expensive tho!)

Apparently, Bolton Depot aren't happy with the condition of 2670 and 2675 and the latter is being sent back here in due course due to having significant defects.

Could this possibly just be intentional use on different services on a Saturday?
I'm trying to work out the logic behind the allocations, but so far things aren't clicking into place!
I will also be interested to see how many are used on Sundays and on which services (though I imagine it will just be the 7(A)).

In my experience, it's pretty common for Green Lane to do this. I've seen one on the 12/13 and another on the 26/27 last week without looking for them. They did the same thing with the previous 61 and 13 plated examples; these buses were ostensibly ordered for the 15 and 26/27 respectively but from the outset regularly appeared on any Green Lane route. It wouldn't surprise me if the 14 plated Pulsars become 'common user' buses before long.

3159 is on the 15 and 3160 I on the 26

One was knocking about on the 14 last night (exiting Queen Square Bus Station). This is why I don't think 26/27 should have route branded buses.

The logic behind allocations is that a pulsar 2 is a pulsar 2, and therefore will end up on any Pulsar 2 operated service because quite frankly, it's easier to control.

Interurban Pulsar 2's tend to be on the 6/7/14/15/26/27 more commonly then say a pulsar one in older livery, because to passengers they look the same internally and externally.

For some reason 2716 and 2718 (and possibly 2717/19) have had the wheels painted silver not that this makes too much of difference to the overall appearance, they need a full repaint but I suppose its a start!
