A rather tatty looking 2298 was on the 79C today.

Lovely little pocket rocket that bus. Does seem to have spent most days on the 79C since its transfer though which does seem surprising given its B36F config which I'd have thought would have made it better to allocate to locals.

that bus was reliable at st helens so maybe they decided to put it on 79C as there are a few buses that break down at lot at runcorn, only a guess

Observed that 3140 had broken down on the x1 service this morning by the retail park on Speke road...
All the passengers had to get on the Speke 82 Gemini....

2951 on the 79C once again today, nice to see they are becoming more common on there, definitely a move in the right direction!
2298 is a great bus, fairly rattly but very fast and sounds spot on, had a bit of time last Saturday to have a quick blast around the busway on it before heading off to Wales!
Shortly after 2298, I got a ride on my favourite, 2952, on the X30 to Chester. Massive hold ups going through Frodsham though and by the time we were in Chester, despite some commendable driving, we were almost half an hour late, and the return journey was delayed further by some old dears with some flag or something posing for a picture in front of the bus, can't imagine the driver was too happy, not to mention the 21 pulled in about 10 minutes later as well, chaos!

Just been told theres a 12 plate Pulsar on display with Wire FM near Green Oaks publicising the X1, giving out prizes and such like, may try to head down a bit later and get a picture or 2!

If it's anything like what St Helens management were doing, you'll find a red carpet and free weekly tickets so well worth getting yourself down there ;-)

Yeah, my Mum and Dad have just been down and said they were giving away free passes and MP3 players, so I'm going to throw my dinner down me, pick the dog up then go into town and hopefully get lucky with a weekly ticket if I'm there in time :P

2950, 2952 and 2953 join 2951 on the 79C, great stuff!!!
