Something that I forgot to mention (sorry!) is that I saw 30803 in Bolton with an engineer driving it the other day near the depot (heading away from it)! It was some time this week, I can't remember the exact day (sorry again!). Is it on loan there, or was it just there for maintenance or something? 66889 is also now back at Wigan. :P

I'am personally hoping that 30803 meets the same fight as 30807 at Oldham, in fact get rid of the whole batch 30802/6. Seriously though its funny you should mention 30803 being sighted near to Bolton Depot. Everyday I am in Bury and you always see one or two from the batch lurking at Bury Interchange, without failure, if you don't see one you see the other. Today though and yesterday, I couldn't help but notice some regular sights were missing. Today it was Just the bendis and B7s And B9s doing 471s, along with the ususal citaros and god awful XDZs. Didn't see any of the 30802/6 batch, and its very unusual not to see them, they work 93, 137, 471,472,474 and sometimes 98s, but not seen a one. Making me think are they all At BN for maintanence as flickr shows although Based at Bury they are no strangers to Weston Street Depot.

Not so long ago, just had a very unpleasant

On board 37392BY the 10pm 471 service, such an arrogant prat of a driver, snatched my system one off me, accusing me of having an out of date ticket, Which it wasnt, not so much of a single appology, moran.

Late observations at Moor Lane Bus Station go to

37415BN Parked up out of service
37303BN 8
37406BN On way back to Bolton Depot
69175BN 582
37393BY On Loan from Bury doing a 582

My friend was in Manchester/Wigan/Bolton today & he photographed 30802 on the 93. Also some other observations he made:

31917 on 575
31922 on 571/2
31924 on 519
30586 on 610
69160 on 8 with 69524

30802 must be the only one at Bury today, because there didn't seem any sign of them at BY, Still think the majority are at BN

And Iam in Bury every day,

Was on 31922 earlier on, myself

The overall condition of the Mercedes Citaros based at Bury Depot isn't great

60227
60282
60228
60270
60279
60262

Seem to like raining in, or have bits of the roof missing, so you can see the lightning wire, also find it a tad worrying, that when going over bumps the ceiling panels wave about, as they are minus a couple of rivits.

Was wondering how old are they now? And how long have Bury had them?

RE: First Manchester - Damien - 21/07/2012 00:49

Also I wanted to know if anyone has seen Bury Depot B9 37297, You all know the one, with the tatty bus wrap, entitled we believe in improving your buses, of which half of this was peeling off. I'm hoping it hasn't been seen because its having this removed..

Anyone seen this bus recently and if so where ?

40395 at Bryn now has a full dot destination display at the front, in a similar to 40135 and 40394. Smile

RE: First Manchester - M60lad - 21/07/2012 10:12

Just had confirmation of a friend of mine at Wigan/Bryn Depot that 610s will be calling in the depot from next week until a shelter goes up also he's heard from an official source that the Depot will not be closing anytime in the immediate future
