Next year some time - I think I read it was around late spring or early summer 411-435 are expected to arrive

I wouldn't be surprised if the DAFs were retained for a bit longer than next year and they were replaced in one go - but as Dave said only time is going to tell

Would it be (well) before Spring 2017, on the assumption that the PVR is reduced over the Winter? Or is it just the Tram service that reduces between now and the Holiday season starting?

There was a PVR reduction in November, mainly from the Prom service reducing and the Zoo service ending. Nothing has been laid up yet, the last Excel was expected to go but has lingered on, probably until the last refurb returns to service.

As the new buses won't arrive until after Easter, it's unlikely any long term withdrawal will be made earlier, but as usual you just have to wait and see.

I would expect 338-341 are likely to go, plus some of the Manx buses. All depends on their value I suppose given they had a refurbishment just a few years ago. Most the 'bought new' buses have had emission reduction mods, recently which presumably requires them to keep going for a few more years yet.

Do you know when these are expected to enter service?

I think they are due around April - although with the first 3 already built, it maybe sooner.

They're booked 17 plates so it could be any time after the start of next month
