RE: GHA Group (Bryn Melyn, Vale Travel + Others) - PO59 MXJ - 18/01/2015 20:43 Theres a rumour going around a few bus depots in Chester that GHA have put in for the Chester Park and Ride contract and seem pretty confident that they are going to get it. Heard it from a few people now. Shame these are now just sitting around doing bugger all, are they actually owned by GHA or just leased. If so what's the plans for em, presumably just scrap value now. Its a pity their so heavy on maintenance & brakes etc etc as a driver i've spoken to few weeks bk says they're actually quite a decent drive, just the reliability was never 100%. YO53OUH has gone for scrap - it went on 14/1/15. This was the last of a batch of Aleros that were owned by the Local Authority and were used by a number of operators (GHA, P and O Lloyd, Phillips of Holywell, Hutchinsons of Buckley and possibly others) for LA subsidised services such as the Deeside Shuttle, Denbighshire Flexi. The Aleros were replaced mainly by Solos and the Aleros were kept by the operators mainly as spare buses. Most of them were taken back by the LA and sent to auction - but a few of them - such as YO53OUH were only fit for scrap.
