Just seemed weird as it was actually showing a destination. Would've thought if their just being moved between depots for selling off they'd have not in service showing.

Guess the administrators are hiring drivers for the movement of vehicles?

Arriva's 5 is not serving the Station unfortunately the nearest stop is right by the turning into the Station on the main road its not a long walk.

With the whole thing having gone tits I think whatevers on the destination blind of a bus whilst it's on its journey back to what once was the promised land of Ruabon where the big self important people were is of little importance. I'd be more inclined to look on the brightside and be content that the blind did indeed work rather than have a sheet of A4 paper taped in its grubby window.

I Genuinely feel sorry for the carnage left behind with the employees now being out of work and hope they all find something soon there was on the whole a good bunch there.

Is there any news of an auction to be held? Wouldnt mind having a look at the workshop equipment tools etc..

I would imagine the administrators would have more info regarding auctions etc. It might well be that there inviting tendered bids for vehicles/equipment etc with what's left/unwanted out up for auction.

While I agree that I hope all the drivers and back room staff find suitable employment and that they are comfortable I really do hope management walk away from the industry and leave it to them that know what there doing.

Two shells that had been in the process of being scrapped on site have been removed to Lelo metals :- Solo S903DUB and Dart T549HNH

The last Council owned Versa YJ09OTS which had sustained RTC damaged has been retrieved by the local authority.

The Administrations are in the process of receiving tenders and will soon appoint an agent to sell the vehicles probably by an on-line auction.

Former GHA Routes workings

The local authorities are now working hard to sort out the school and college contracts for the new term starting in about 5 weeks time.

Denbighshire area
An informative emergency timetable has been published on their website. It is currently at version 5. During the last week the contractor for the 1/2/X1 Ruthin – Mold (Chester) corridor has changed from Townlynx to Stagecoach. On Monday 15th July two Solos were seen working the service 47035 and 47714. Apparently the drivers concerned spent Sunday with staff of the local authority route learning. Other changes include certain journey on the Arriva 51 Rhyl to Denbigh service now using the former GHA X52 route via the St Asaph Business Park, taxis being employed on journeys to Llanefydd and also from Bryneglwys to Llandega to meet up with the X51 Wrexham service.

Flintshire area
No significant changes except that Arriva withdrew their contribution to the jointly run SP1/2 Ellesmere Port service which is now only being operated by Stagecoach on an hourly frequency with all journey to Mold being SP1 and the reverse journey SP2. Not deal to say the least.

Wrexham area
Nearly all of the former GHA routes are currently not being covered with no immediate indication of when this may occur. This has left numerous communities without a service including those in the Ceiriog valley and those on the Wrexham to Whitchurch corridor. It appears that the council are currently inviting operators to tender for these services.

Shropshire area
All former GHA services are now covered although the Ellesmere to Shrewsbury service has a reduced frequency to two hourly.

Cheshire area.
All services are covered in the western area but with some reduced frequencies as reported previously. In East Cheshire the Flexi Rider will be operated by Transport Service Solutions from 1/8/16. The only service not covered is the 44 Crewe – Nantwich but certain journey on the 39 service have been re-routed as partial replacement.

I have updated my table of the replacement service with links to timetables - LINK

Ron - one thing you've not mentioned on your replacement GHA coaches is on the 27 route High Peak agreed to run a 2 hourly service commercially but only Mon-Fri. Cheshire East put a Saturday service out to tender (running to a similar timetable to the weekday one but not serving Astra Zeneca) and awarded the contract to Howards/Springfield Travel: http://springfieldandhowardscoachhire.co.uk/timetable.htm

Thanks for pointing this out - I missed it. Hopefully now corrected on my table.
