Fleet News

Two new MetroCitys and two new Solo SR's are expected soon and will be used on the Denbighshire contracts 1/X1/2 Ruthin – Mold (Chester) and the 76 Denbigh – Ruthin (via Llandyrnog).

They are dismantlers - exporters and general dealers in various types of goods / passenger vehicles. Over the years a number of ex GHA vehicles have been disposed of to this firm. Most have been broken for spares from photos seen. Their webiste is http://www.sheltonmotors.co.uk/

MPD BA52 GHA was on the 12:35 436 Shrewsbury - Bridgnorth today, complete with no LED displays in use (turned off) and no board to indiacate what route it was doing so assume the brightec displays fitted are not programmed for the 436? It would have been a cosy ride for the large amount of students seen waiting on Wenlock Road in Shrewsbury for it.

I've seen both Darts and Solos on their usual routes where the destination display isn't illuminated so presumably faults with the displays aren't that rare.

If the route is not programmed in, is it still possible to get them to display a three digit service number?

If I'm thinking of the correct display, it is possible, Depending on which control unit is installed. If I remember rightly it's the older units that can have a manual route number put in. Newer ones being upload only.

Your correct , The old ones you had to enter your route number and then your destination but the new ones are all pre programed .

With gha the old brightech such as YM52TPX for example that has the button on control for Route and dest wont let you change number due to the way they been programmed
