Was it from the end of April that the 97 was shortened to start later and finish earlier? Remember seeing a notice on one of the buses but haven't seen anything on here (VOSA ammendments etc..)

It must always be a pretty tight turnaround getting the Enviros refuelled and back out to the town centre for late duties then?

Especially when you consider that both the 28 and 60 finish in St Helens at around 1740 and the first 121 is 1755(M-F), 122 is 1802 (although the first 122 Clock Face bound on S is 1805). I have noticed that journey which works the 1755 is normally an MPD understandably.

Do the buses need refueling during the day though?

From experience of the Solos at HTL a bus can be out from 6am to midnight and still have half a tank left in?
