RE: WBT Network Warrington - SF07 - 08/01/2015 19:10

Network Warrington changes on TfGM website for 25 January:

*5 - Times changed. Evening journeys are introduced between Lymm and Warrington via Cobbs Estate, numbered 5E
*19 - Times changed with Monday to Saturday evening journeys withdrawn.
*28/28A - Times changed. Monday to Saturday evening journeys are rerouted to serve Gorse Covert, Oakwood and Birchwood and are renumbered 28E.
*35 - Times changed.

Thanks for this.
Bet a few complaints will come in about the ending of the 19 evening service.
I wonder why 5E and not 6E Huh
Also surprised that TfGM mentions the 5E journeys as they won't enter their area, but it's very nice of them to let us have the information anyway!

I think it's great that TfGM has that approach.
Not every PTE is as good natured, e.g. Merseytravel doesn't include everything on Halton's 14 corridor.

Just as a side note, as it hasnt been mentioned before. WBT recieve a lot of funding through the council for the evening services, thats why they have been running them near empty for years. I too was once a late shift worker and was always getting the last 18 to town then having to walk home as no other bus was around...

RE: WBT Network Warrington - Valandil - 12/01/2015 04:48

We have now reached the usual point of two weeks before, but still no sign of the modified routes and timetables.

RE: WBT Network Warrington - stankevitch - 12/01/2015 16:24

Not only that, but Warrington seem to be lacking a lot, no updates on their Twitter or Facebook since August either...

Interesting times in Warrington

I think the way tfgm handle other areas operations is quite impressive where as LCC and Merseytravel are a utter Joke

RE: WBT Network Warrington - Valandil - 13/01/2015 06:14

(EDIT: I have removed some text from this post).
It sounds like all evening journeys will have an 'E' suffix, whether the route is different to the daytime route or not.
A few surprises may be coming up in the Orford direction!

RE: WBT Network Warrington - RSTurbo50 - 14/01/2015 07:58

Evening services will be VERY different to the daytime services. Services will also be reduced dramatically. I have all of the details on routes, times etc but will wait until it comes from Network Warrington officially before I say anymore ;-)

Same here: they do have everything together so I wish they would get on and publish!
I disagree slightly in that quite a number of the evening services will be similar to the daytime ones and annoyingly some will be absolutely identical but still given a different service number (the 'E' suffix).
Anyway, let's hope we get everything up there soon!
