Yep, both Solos and deckers have been on the Northwich routes before! I think that one of the afternoon peak journeys on the Northwich routes always used to be decker-operated. RE: WBT Network Warrington - WidnesRuncornBus - 30/07/2013 08:48 I have also saw a Marshall on the 45/46 services. Also does warrington have a trial Pulsar 2? I saw a plain white pulsar 2 parked up at Warrigton bus station recently and wondered what it was. RE: WBT Network Warrington - SF07 - 30/07/2013 17:43 Network Warrington website announcing that they'll be extending the Sunday evening service by two hours from this Sunday (4 August) until 15 September with adult journeys costing £1 and child journeys costing 70p on all Sunday journeys. The timetable extensions applies to services 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 16, 17, 18A, 19, 20/20A, 21/21A, 22, 26, 27, 28A and 30. http://warringtonboroughtransport.co.uk/news.html http://warringtonboroughtransport.co.uk/newtimetables/Web_Leaflet.pdf RE: WBT Network Warrington - WidnesRuncornBus - 01/08/2013 11:46 (30/07/2013 17:43)SF07 Wrote: Network Warrington website announcing that they'll be extending the Sunday evening service by two hours from this Sunday (4 August) until 15 September with adult journeys costing £1 and child journeys costing 70p on all Sunday journeys. Hmmmm, personally couldn't see this being profitable but I guess we will wait and see. RE: WBT Network Warrington - Valandil - 05/08/2013 16:35 From Network Warrington's Facebook page: 66 For the Mon-Fri timetable the 25 will change to a 30 min frequency between 0828 & 1458. For the 28/28A it will change to a 60 min frequency 0948 & 1448. These times are from the Interchange. Full timetables will be available from the 21st August 99 We already had indications about the 28(a), but the 25's frequency reduction is new. We'll soon be down to half the frequency the 25 (and former 25c) operated at about a year ago and before. I unfortunately can't see a new service being introduced to compensate. I imagine that the 25 will have to be fully decker-operated, because otherwise it just wouldn't cope. To be able to offer full decker operation though, even if the 3 and 23(a) have similar frequency reductions, there would not be enough deckers. I can see just the 25 and 3 interworking, with the 23(a) splitting off and interworking with the 4a, being single-deck operated, each running every half-hour. But we will probably just have to wait and see. This would allow the 25's and 17's to combine to give an 'every 15 minutes' service between Gorse Covert and Birchwood, perhaps encouraging (or forcing) more use of the 17. RE: WBT Network Warrington - anw2015 - 05/08/2013 19:09 There are loads of timetable reductions from that date, there are leaflets on Warringtons buses now which details the change. From the top of my head the following have frequency reductions: Services 5/16/19/20/21/23/25/28 Theres a couple more services too which are suffering from drops in the frequency. From memory the 5 will only run to Altrincham during peak times only as well. Most of these services are keeping their current peak time frequencies (or there abouts). Going to be a lot of buses (and a lot of drivers) not having very much to do off peak! If anyone has any further details, I for one would really appreciate it, as I won't be in Warrington until later in the month. RE: WBT Network Warrington - Valandil - 06/08/2013 10:37 NW's new website: http://www.networkwarrington.co.uk/ Looks pretty good all round to me! Oh well!, I will have to try and pick up a leaflet and examine it in full detail. RE: WBT Network Warrington - Valandil - 06/08/2013 12:50 Some key points on the new website are the mention of the new 'Midas' card (complete with video animation!), a new app for smartphone users, and some good photos on the 'Enthusiasts' section. |
