Choas on the 1452 from Lime St today.
This service was diverted via Chat Moss at the last moment due to a bridge strike at Trafford Pk.
It was only announced after the train passed Edge Hill meaning people for Liv South Parkway, Widnes and Warrington would have to travel to Oxford Rd. In the end it stopped at Newton LW where passengers travelled back

Network Rail have uploaded the December 2020 track access agreement, confirming the intention to replace the entire HST fleet by the Hull Trains 180s. Even with cl.360 working to Corby and consistent pathing that seems hyper-optimistic.

No mention of splitting the Liverpool-Norwich service - indeed some trains that currently only run east of Nottingham are extended to Sheffield. Hopefully the DfT has recognized that the Liverpool end cannot be transferred to either of the alternative showers.

Just noticed that a note which appears on the wrong page refers back to replacing Liverpool Lime St with Manchester Piccadilly on the base Norwich service, but not on the "odds and sods."

At least four pairs of 153s vice 158s in Liverpool today. The most interesting pairing was 156414+153302+153384.

According to Modern Railways there are two pairs of 153 booked - I had expected more. Possibly more until all of Anglia's 156 appear?

Pair of 153s is now booked on the Nottingham attach/detach portion as they have to be attached to a PRM unit so the Liverpool end will be a 156 or 158 plus 2x153.

Two diagrams at least on the Crewe line were pairs of 153s today - no announcement or apology regarding lack of compliance, at least on the train I was on.

156422 has arrived from Anglia. Also from Anglia are 156409 and 156412 now renumbered 156909 and 156912.
