Most students that regularly use the bus have uniriders and that Wilmslow Road corridor passengers use the 42/A/B in addition to the 142 and 43 as well as the 143 (causing potential delays and overcrowding).

Actually not. According to Matt Kitchin magic bus livery is being updated with the introduction of the new livery. After the electric buses enter service, hybrids are getting resrayed into the new magicbus livery

I saw a 69-reg Enviro 400 - MMC in new livery just outside Hyde Road garage the other day

Not sure how they have managed to come up with something that looks cheap compared to a 20 odd year old livery. They should have stuck with what they had.

There again, it's better than the diabolical effort Arriva came up with m

Any ideas on what route/depot these MMC’s are for?

That's 11259, one of the recent Hyde Road batch

Reminds me of Ulsterbus livery. See Red and Orange is now no more, and the blue has gone from Dark to Light blue, could they not have done the same using the more prominent colours that they are are now phasing out?

The Yellow will be an issue as its a colour that can be effected by dirt as can the background white, basically its the livery reduced to the beach ball, something better would have been better, although I admit the existing livery needed an update, presume the green is to try to sell the green environmental issues?

I actually think the Stagecoach stickers stuck over the Yorkshire Traction logo made a better livery: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/be/Stagecoach_bus_39631_Yorkshire_Traction_livery_bus_231_MAN_14220_East_Lancs_Myllennium_YN04_WMA_in_Hood_Green%2C_Barnsley%2C_South_Yorkshire_23_November_2006.jpg

It also had the most basic point correct - dark colour skirt, lighter colour above.

Does make you wonder whether Stagecoach are now leasing their vehicles.. Given how much white is in the livery it does make things easier if say vehicles need a panel replacement due to damage etc or vehicles that are due to be transferred between depots ????
