RE: Avon Buses - robertclark125 - 23/07/2017 16:43

Merseytravel replied, saying it was a matter for Avon, and that they would raise it with the operator.

Someone has then replied, saying that it's a matter for Merseytravel.

RE: Avon Buses - CKC 312L - 23/07/2017 17:18

Looks like a standard reply to me
Unfortunately the way Merseytravel are dealing with it is by rewarding them more contracts there again me being cynical would say that if you are prepared to pay peanuts then you will get monkeys

RE: Avon Buses - robertclark125 - 23/07/2017 17:47

Could the traffic commissioner have had the right to refuse the registration for the 30, thus forcing Merseytravel to get another operator to take over?

RE: Avon Buses - WAITING FOR THE 437 - 23/07/2017 17:54

Merseytravel are equally to blame now! They knew full well Avon can't cope as it is! Yet still have them the additional contracts. If Avon had any respect to the passengers they would hand the contract back

I think the said tender was awarded to Avon before they started to drop service however i do agree fully with your last point

RE: Avon Buses - CKC 312L - 23/07/2017 18:04

I wasn't thinking about the Traffic commissioner refusing the registration for the 30 when I made the comment I was thinking of the intervening and doing something about all the dropped mileage over the past month or so they definitely have to power to do something about that

RE: Avon Buses - robertclark125 - 23/07/2017 19:41

I understand what you were saying CKC 312L. What I was meaning was, when Avon registered the route with the TC, surely they would have the power to refuse the registration, though that would then mean Merseytravel having to find another operator, or stick with the existing contractor who lost the route to Avon.

That's disgusting now

RE: Avon Buses - CKC 312L - 24/07/2017 10:51

If it wasn't for the fact that people are having to make alternative arrangements it is a joke why looking at the cancellations are they even bothering to open the gates to the yard.
I think that the TC should definitely be involved in this now
I wish Merseytravel would take all the contracts that they have off them and re-award them to other companies at least they will be more reliable and maybe passengers won't suffer this joke of a service from this company
