RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - St Helens Rider - 10/06/2018 10:56 Still quite a few cancellations today on Huyton - Wigan service even with temporary Rest Day Working in place. RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - knutstransport - 15/06/2018 11:23 Strike timetables for Tuesday and Thursday are now online: https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/strike I think the limited Mid-Cheshire service is going to have a detrimental effect on visitor numbers for the 1st day of the Cheshire Show. The first shuttle bus for the show will leave Knutsford station before the first train from Altrincham arrives, while the last shuttle buses to both Knutsford and Northwich stations will arrive after the last trains have departed and unlike on previous occasions there's no replacement buses running later in to the evening. RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - ant17612 - 17/06/2018 13:15 WCRC 37669 and 57316 Top and Tail Load 3 have performed ECS tests on the Windermere to Oxenholme line this morning and are now in public service filling in for Northern, superb! RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - T42 PVM - 17/06/2018 13:59 According to Tim Farron (Lib Dem MP Who Organised this) They are waiting for the DFT to give it the Green Light: https://twitter.com/timfarron/status/1008335541119709184?s=19 RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - knutstransport - 17/06/2018 15:04 One working service ran in passenger service from Windermere to Oxenholme after a replacement bus was cancelled. It didn't call at any intermediate stations. RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - ant17612 - 17/06/2018 15:07 It will start tomorrow; http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/advanced/OXN/2018/06/18/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt&toc=WR RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - childwallblues - 18/06/2018 05:10 Nobody seems to know whether tis is a Northern or WRC service. Locos in use yesterday were 37069 and 57316. If it was Northern, the timetable for this temporary service should be on Northern’s website. As I’ve typed that BBC are saying it’s WRC (entirely separate). We should find out this morning as an answer is expected by 0930. The services are showing on NRE as being operated by WCRC, so that should mean Route: Any Permitted are accepted as it's running as a public service not a charter but questions remain over Route: Northern only tickets. RE: Northern (Arriva Rail North) - mikestone - 18/06/2018 10:04 Is there any mechanism for WCR to recieve revenue from any permitted tickets? |
