4026 is being picked up from Bolton today.

RE: Arriva North West - Winsford Depot - 33109 - 21/02/2014 14:53

Noted 4027 in winsford yesterday afternoon circa 15:45 working the 29, so that's one of the newuns on the road! Today (21st) noticed while leaving northwich this morning around 10:20 4489 working the st johns 29 circuit, this is a real rarity as usually its on the 38s solid.

4143 was covering for 4489 on the 38 today & severely struggled climbing rood hill out of congleton, don't even think it managed 20mph......... Any ideas copey how big are the issues to sort on 4216, nothing too serious hopefully?

Anyone know if 3615 is still in regular service, and is the 84 still the best place to find it on Saturday.

877 has been at Gaw End Lane this week

Managed to catch up with 4026 last night, On the 18:05 37 from Crewe-Winsford. It's not the worst DLA I've ever been on, but it's not the best and I've heard that 4027 is better!

Also noticed that the 37/31A buses do a loop....For example it will work an XX:05 Journey off Crewe on a 37, Then an XX:19 31A journey to Crewe....Then the XX:05 Journey to Winsford again...Do the 37A/31 do the same?

Too serious for our engineers I'm afraid. I believe that external engineers are to be fetched in to try and fix it. It has numerous electrical faults and was going to be sent back to where it came from but we are now told that we are keeping it. 4215 should be joining it when the problems on that have been sorted out.
4489 had probably been off earlier in the day due to engineers being fetched in from Cummins to fix some performance issues that it had been having, hence it turning up on a 29.

4489 was on the 84 yesterday afternoon

Thanks copey, shame to hear 4216 has big issues but hopefully well worth it when sorted. Are the VLWs decent deckers then? I've noticed that the geminis 4490-89 do tend to need a lot of maintenance & last year 4490 was off the road for about a week or so believe also 4491 has previously suffered gearbox problems, surely not good considering they're only 3 years old now???

Also DLA 4074 seems VERY slow lately, fair enuf with the college kids on the 16:20 31 duty ram packed it'd be slow but supposedly according to a driver mate of mine seriously struggles with climbing any form of hill.

In my opinion, the VLWs Gemini's are better, But then I prefer the Volvo B7TL myself anyway!

I don't really like 4074 my self, As you say it's VERY sluggish, and the gears seem to be jumpy occasionally!

i've been reliably told from someone that was on the bus, that the bus on either the 16:12 31 Journey from Winsford town Centre to Northwich suffered a smashed window whilst going past the Co-Op in Moulton as it was in a tight move with a car!
