September 30 2017 for nine days .

Following this period, the station will partially reopen until October 30, when the first phase of the upgrade should be completed.

A further closure will take place in the autumn of 2018, but the details are not yet fully arranged.

While Lime Street is shut trains will stop at Liverpool South Parkway and passengers can transfer to Merseyrail services which will run into the city via Liverpool Central.

A bus service will operate from St Helens Central and St Helens Junction to Lime Street.

After the nine-day closure some services will run into platforms one and two on weekdays when Lime Street partially reopens. These will include services via St Helens. An off-peak bus service from Huyton will be provided.

Between October 21-30, Lime Street will be fully open but South Parkway station will be closed to mainline services, but open to Merseyrail services. St Helens services will run into Lime Street, but operators such as Virgin will run further north via Warrington and St Helens into Lime Street, adding to passengers’ journey times.

Liverpool-bound London Midland passengers will join Virgin services at Crewe.

Is that a recent announcement - I understood Allerton re-control had been brought forward?
