GBRf have commenced running a weekly aggregates train between Whatley Quarry and Wellingborough Yard which it operates on behalf of London Underground.

87002 was used yesterday on a footex between Euston and Liverpool South Parkway for Chelsea supporters.

47815 and 47812 have been moved from Scotland back to Doncaster. Possibly their use in connection with Caledonian Sleeper duties has ended.

It seems that the five Riviera Class 47 locos are to go off hire at the end of this month. These are 47812/15/43/47/48.

GBRf has started to run stone trains from the recently connected Arcow Quarry on the Settle & Carlisle line. Trains run to Bredbury, Pendleton and Hunslet.

Another football special today operated by GBRf for Tottenham Hotspur supporters saw 86101 operating between Euston and Liverpool Lime Street.
