RE: West Midlands Trains - WMR & LNR - childwallblues - 14/10/2023 05:34 The first Class 730/0 diagram is due to commence either 23/10 or 30/10. These will be former Class 319 diagrams. RE: West Midlands Trains - WMR & LNR - childwallblues - 26/10/2023 20:10 From the December timetable the LNW Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street service reverts to every 30 minutes for the morning and evening peaks. Just because they’re in the timetable doesn’t mean they’ll run all the time. WMR have been notorious in the last few years for short notice cancellations (as have Northern and TPE) RE: West Midlands Trains - WMR & LNR - knutstransport - 27/10/2023 12:33 (26/10/2023 20:10)childwallblues Wrote: From the December timetable the LNW Liverpool Lime Street to Birmingham New Street service reverts to every 30 minutes for the morning and evening peaks. The extras towards Liverpool (AM) and away from Liverpool (PM) are shown as calling at Hartford. However, in the opposite direction they are shown as skipping Hartford. I think someone's overlooked Hartford isn't just a central Cheshire hub for people travelling towards Liverpool. It's also used by business people travelling south towards Birmingham and London. RE: West Midlands Trains - WMR & LNR - childwallblues - 27/10/2023 18:09 The "extras" as you call them leave Lime Street at 0610 0708 0808 and 0908. The 0610 is a new train and does pick up at Hartford. The others were in the timetable pre pandemic and always ran non stop between Runcorn and Crewe. The same applys northbound in the pm peaks. Hartford did have a half-hourly service in both directions for most of the day though. It was also a calling point on the London Midland through services to Euston for the short period they operated. The 20:04 Liverpool to Birmingham is the first southbound service of the day that skips Hartford. Liverpool bound direction: Prior to 11am the only London Northwestern service skipping Hartford was the 05:40 Crewe to Lime Street. Alternate services then skipped Hartford until around 5pm. Then the service went half-hourly again until 8pm. https://www.railtables.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/railtables/wmt/dec17/table05_ln.pdf The December 2017 was a big recast and I'm sure they resolved the issue with late morning and afternoon Liverpool bound services skipping Hartford by the 2019 timetable change. I can't find a December 2019 timetable online. RE: West Midlands Trains - WMR & LNR - childwallblues - 30/10/2023 21:05 323208 is the first of the WMT Class 323 to transfer to Northern. It arrived at Allerton Depot on Saturday. 319361 has acquired NSE logos on the cab fronts. |
