Absolutely fantastic result. We thoroughly deserved the win against what was a very poor Arsenal side

Theres been a twist in the Bolton Saga today credit Bolton FC Website:

Club statement on the appointment of Trevor Birch at Bolton Wanderers
The board of Bolton Wanderers Football Club has today, Tuesday 17 November, announced the appointment of Trevor Birch to act on behalf of the club and owner with immediate effect.

The role will see Trevor providing assistance to the board and owner which will include managing negotiations with the various parties who have expressed an interest in purchasing the club.

Brett Warburton, Vice Chairman, said: “Trevor is a football man who has great experience in dealing with clubs in difficult financial situations. We welcome his support in assisting us through this difficult period.

“Our current owner Eddie Davies is fully supportive of the appointment and will work closely with Trevor.

“Eddie has provided an incredible level of financial support which has brought the club great success and meant huge enjoyment to all fans. We all owe him an enormous debt of gratitude.

“Unfortunately, since relegation, we haven’t been able to turn things around on the pitch and re-gain promotion despite running a very high player wage bill. As the Premier League parachute funding disappears we need to find further funding to replace it. Eddie has indicated that he can’t provide any further funding and we have therefore been working hard to attract the appropriate investment to take this club forward.”

Brett also commented on the position of chairman Phil Gartside: “I’m sad to report that Phil is seriously ill at the moment and Trevor will now lead the negotiations on behalf of the board and the owner.”

Bolton FC to go into admin - T42 PVM - 11/12/2015 09:40

Things are really starting to look bad for Bolton, Yesterday afternoon they was able to confirm they had got a Winding up Petition from HMRC, This follows on from last Month where none of the first team players where paid their wages

http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-2845297.aspx

The Fans of the club are really sticking together and have created a Crowd fund page to make sure the backroom staff are paid this Xmas, At the time of writing this post we have raised just over 4,000 quid

One thing is for sure if someone does not buy the club soon we are going to be in a lot of trouble.

Has this got to the point of a points deduction by the Football league yet ?

RE: Bolton FC to go into admin - mbonwick - 11/12/2015 16:46

If they enter administration there is an automatic 12 point deduction.

RE: Bolton FC to go into admin - H101GEV - 11/12/2015 18:24

They aren't in administration just yet, but it isn't looking good. If/when administration happens they will receive the mandatory 12 point penalty as mentioned. Looking at Bolton's current league position, this will effectively guarantee League One football next season.

RE: Bolton FC to go into admin - T42 PVM - 11/12/2015 22:25

Its a shame to see a club come into such hard times (more so the Club you support) Still in hope that the Club will be sold to someone who can do a better job before we do go into Admin, As for the Crowd fund Page to pay the Bolton Staff we have raised just over 6,000 quid now.

RE: Bolton FC to go into admin - H101GEV - 11/12/2015 23:40

The days of Bolton flirting with the Champions League places under Big Sam seem a distant memory, and that's a shame.
