Large 'lumps' of snow blown off the bridge superstructure and landing on the carraigeway below caused several near misses, so a sensible precaution.

Runcorn Bridge now re-opened one lane each way, Arriva say services now returning to normal routes.

A one point there were no less than six Arriva buses 'stacked' in Halton Transport's Caldwell Road yard at lunchtime.
