It is a real shame that, the 537 was one of my favorite routes too. At the end of the day if only one or two unique passengers were getting on, no wonder it isn't commercially viable.

There is a campaign launched (or lainched as it says on the This is Lancashire website) by a local MP to try and restore the link for Edgworth with an online petition at http://www.saveourbus.tk/ (although the link doesn't seem to working at the moment).

Wythenshawe have Commander CX07CPU from Bolton perhaps a recent transferal

Seems Wythenshawe are building up quite a fleet of Commanders, interesting thing is that unlike the Pulsar's the Commanders do get used on 247 Trafford Center-Altrincham service

MPs are always dead good at that, yet it is extremely clear they haven't the slightest idea how buses are run and how costly it is to run a non-profitable bus company...

The DAF President parked up in the yard is LF52 URX. Couldn't see a fleet number as it's parked in the corner.

Other operators are stepping in to replace some of the Arriva changes that are planned for this weekend. The 715 will continue to operate half-hourly Mon-Sat daytime after SLT stepped in to operate an hourly service to complement Arriva's service. Meanwhile, the 537 is to be replaced between Edgworth and Bromley Cross by the extension of Darwen Coach Services's 37 service from Darwen.

Three Hybrid deckers (including 4498) on 715's today - looks like Arriva are on a cham offensive before they cut the frequency.
