I am not sure about their former numbers. Wexford Bus have adopted the livery for their Wexford Connect services. This is the other one I saw: 04WX11128 Wexford Bridge 7 March 2021 They also operate a number of Intercity/ town services, Wexford to Dublin Airport is the main route and I get to see their coaches in Dublin on an almost daily basis. The fleet is mostly second hand, but is very well presented, they provide a good website and in addition to bus stops/ they provide upto date info, rare in Ireland! Photo of one of their newer coaches, the livery is unique! 191D33848 Redmond Road 7 March 2021 RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 21/04/2021 20:45 I was in Dun Laoghaire today, work related. Go-Ahead dominate the area these days, but the 7 and 46A ensure a good show by Dublin Bus. I got a couple of shots of PA6 this evening: PA6 Melville Road, Charlestown 30 April 2021 PA6 Melville Road, Charlestown 30 April 2021 RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 09/05/2021 22:08 I took a spin on PA6 last Sunday and today. Nice enough, very different to the standard DB interior and a lack of rattles unlike a DB bus class I won't mention (clue - there are 100s of them in service in Dublin!). PA3 Redmond's Hill 2 May 2021 PA8 Westmoreland St 9 May 2021 PA6 upstairs interior 9 May 2021 RE: Dublin & Ireland - buses7675 - 10/05/2021 11:50 They look very nice and airy - I like the number of opening windows too! They are very bright upstairs, downstairs is a bit darker due to the lack of a rear window, very unusual for the Dublin fleet. RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 22/05/2021 22:05 SG41 Westmoreland St 22 May 2021 Recent transfer to Summerhill from Clontarf as part of a big swap of buses between a number of depots and Clontarf. As part of Bus Connects, a number of routes are to revised to form the 'H' spine from the City Centre to Malahide and Howth. This may happen in June (2021!) and what is happening is that Clontarf are gathering up green/ yellow buses for the launch. The new PA Hybrids are not going to Clontarf at present, so it will be mostly the SG class going there. However, an EV (Enviro 400) and GT (B9TL - Wrights) have been painted in the new livery, much to the surprise of many of those interested. I have failed to see them yet. More info here if interested. https://busconnects.ie/initiatives/new-dublin-area-bus-network/ RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 23/05/2021 19:42 This is how Dublin bus services will look in the future - standard livery and matching bus stops. SG366 Fairview 23 May 2021 RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 30/05/2021 20:27 11524 Rathgar Road, Rathmines 30 May 2021 Took a short spin on the 18 route today. Its an orbital route operating from Palmerstown to the west of the City, runs through the south west suburbs of Crumlin, through Rathmines, Ballsbridge and terminates in very leafy Sandymount, just on the coast. The 18 is currently operated by Go-Ahead and in the picture, the bus is advertising a new app that allows you to check and top up your Leap smartcard on your smart phone. Another sign of change is Lenehans in the background, Lenehans were a famous hardware store with a number of branches in Dublin, now its a bar/ grill. RE: Dublin & Ireland - redstar - 01/06/2021 21:19 I met more Blue and Yellow Streetlites today, however this are slightly different from the usual Go-Ahead or Bus Éireann ones. As part of the large order made by the National Transport Authority, a batch of these, I think 7, were sent to Kilkenny to start a new town network - two routes which cross the city forming an X type network. The other interesting thing is that these are operated by City Direct, the independent operator in Galway who has been operating a batch of ex London Enviro 400s on City Services in Galway. The Kilkenny buses are registered in Galway, which is slightly unusual but provides a direct connection to City Direct's home city. 192G1615 Gaol Road, Kilkenny 1 June 2021 192G1618 Market Yard, Kilkenny 1 June 2021 192G1617 Bateman Quay, Kilkenny 1 June 2021 More here: https://transportsceneireland.smugmug.com/BusSceneIreland/BSI-June-2021/ |
