RE: 2015-16 Football Season - wirralbus - 21/08/2015 20:50 Some interesting fixtures for the local teams . Firstly on Saturday its Tranmere v Borehamwood , this is going to be a season of first times for some of these teams to have visited Prenton Park . Tranmere have got off to a much better start than in recent years so lets hope they don't fall away as the season goes on , if that's the case then Tranmere will be in for a long slog. Then on Sunday its Everton v Manchester City , Manchester City seem to be the in team at the top of the league at the moment , following Chelsea's very poor lacklustre start. Then on Monday its one of the crunch ties that seem to come around at this time of the year Arsenal v Liverpool . Arsenal didn't have a good start to there first match and Liverpool in there ties haven't actually looked like world beaters , I just think this will be a draw . RE: 2015-16 Football Season - SK15 GZG - 26/08/2015 19:39 Three of the North West's four Premier League clubs are in the third round of the Capital One Cup - with Liverpool facing Carlisle United at Anfield and Manchester City playing Sunderland (who are currently in the relegation zone) at the Stadium of Light. Manchester United take on current Championship leaders Ipswich at Old Trafford with Everton in action this evening at Oakwell where Barnsley are currently leading 2-0 at half time. The winner of that match will face Reading at the Madejski Stadium in the third round Meanwhile Sheffield Wednesday continue in the League Cup with a third round match against Newcastle at St James' Park - very much looking forward to that one! RE: 2015-16 Football Season - wirralbus - 30/08/2015 10:06 Everton just about got over the line with that match , but all that counts at the end of the day is a victory for them. Even though I am not a LFC fan I find it disgraceful that the owners sacked him by phone. They could not get off their collective backsides and tell him face to face. RE: 2015-16 Football Season - wirralbus - 07/10/2015 15:20 Chillingly this is how the owners of most Football Clubs with foreign owners who dont live in the UK 24/7 will work. |
