What makes you think this won't be the case here?Since when has this been the case? It must be very unadvertised if this is the case as I have never heard of this before. Stagecoach 80As dont accept Arriva tickets. To my knowledge, Stagecoach 21s (Chester - Frodsham) don't accept Arriva tickets. GHA to my knowledge never accepted other operators tickets on their night DB buses. If this was the case, shouldn't it be on notices and be common knowledge as this sort of thing would (and does) discourage people from using buses. I am not saying it is untrue (just for the record), I am just unsure about personally as I have never heard of this. RE: D&G Bus - Rick Hunter - 07/02/2019 11:58 When GHA did the Friday and Saturday evening 9/10s in Macclesfield the driver(s) used to accept the Arriva day/week tickets. I'm sure they did on the 38s as well. (06/02/2019 23:23)iMarkeh Wrote: Since when has this been the case? It must be very unadvertised if this is the case as I have never heard of this before. Just like HTL accept Halton & Arriva tickets on the St Helens 17 RE: D&G Bus - iMarkeh - 07/02/2019 14:31 While there are SOME exceptions, the majority of routes do not have a clause to accept 'normal' operator tickets. Stagecoach 80As don't accept Arriva tickets Stagecoach Chester to Frodsham 21s don't accept Arriva X30 tickets Stagecoach 76s never accepted Arriva tickets when that was a tender. The 17 is part of the QBP hence why tickets are accepted between tenders. Based on the reply I got from D&G, it was basically saying that it is upto operators to decide to accept 'normal' operators tickets. They are undecided whether to join the Blacon Pointer scheme and unsure on what the prices will be. GHA may have chose to accept Arriva tickets rather than being forced to by the contract. Alternatively GHA may have won the contract which means all revenue goes to the council. At which point, it doesn't matter really who's tickets you accept as you, the operator, lose nothing. The 15/15A is part of the Quality Partnership with the 1/1A so it should be in the tender requirements to accept tickets from the commercial operators RE: D&G Bus - Olympian - 07/02/2019 19:40 (06/02/2019 22:30)CTL45 Wrote: Basic contract conditions would ensure that D&G accept the weekday tickets. What makes you think this won't be the case here? That doesn't seem to apply to Cheshire East Contracts, D&G never seemed to accept Arriva's tickets on their Sunday 38s, likewise, I believe Arriva don't accept D&Gs' tickets on their evening 6E to Shavington, a village which is served by the D&G 12 in the daytime. And that's despite D&G and Arriva being on good terms with each other. RE: D&G Bus - knutstransport - 08/02/2019 19:45 D&G website says Stagecoach and Arriva tickets will be accepted on 15A but Network Returns and D&G weekly tickets will not be sold on 15A services, only single tickets. Website also confirms 15A will be a Wincham route and 41A a Crewe route. They've also made the North Wales page available in the Welsh language. They are also advertising for PSV engineers to be based in Northwich, so presumably it will become a proper depot rather than an outstation of Crewe. It isn't normally the case though as far as I am aware. I was very surprised to see the Wales page and it to have the translation. Perhaps their website means it is easy to add new pages and routes etc. |
