Anybody know what’s going on with 2646? Went out of service mid-188 on Saturday evening just gone around 9ish and I observed it being limped up Speke Hall Road by an engineer, must’ve been going about 10-15mph. There was a very unhealthy scraping sound coming from the underside so seemed serious whatever was up with it.

Just been informed forward wheeled streetlites are going Southport to Speke
Solos going Speke to St Helens then pulsars Speke to Southport
No details exactly however

6012 is now here replacing 717 (to St. Helens) as part of today's 3 way swap with Southport. 6010 arrived a week ago. 6011/3 are due imminently.

What an earth!
I mean I know out of the ordinary allocations like this are caused by vehicle shortages but surely with the amount of buses at Speke they have at least one more bus better suited to the 79, if not when 2160 was first driven out of the depot then after it arrived at L1 after it’s first run.

Whilst 2160 was on the 79 I ber that there were deckers on the 204.

There have been a few instances lately of the small buses turning up on City routes, Solo on 82 for instance. Seems like someone there is having a little joke with the allocations, no need for it.
