I was under the impression it was known that Birkenhead were recieving 6 Enviro 400s?

Yes I'd heard that but they're not for the 487 so there was supposed to be a batch of single deckers as well.

Based on the press release - and how 507009 has worked out the share of the 2014/15 order here - Birkenhead aren't receiving new double deckers out of the current order. The only new buses Birkenhead are receiving from this order are six single deckers for the 487 which are believed to be StreetLites
Arriva North West have said on their Facebook page that Birkenhead are due six double deckers this year - but it wasn't said whether they would be new (as part of the 2015/16 order) or cascades from another depot. Best to wait and see I suppose!

The latest from Birkenhead is that they are Streetlites for the 487. No news on Double deckers but 4001 & 2 are both being withdrawn by March next year.

Has it been confirmed that the Enviro 200s are going into the 1xxx Series? as nothing has been said about numbering at Wrexham Depot and im %100 sure id of been informed if so.

Smithy said here that they're to be in the 1000 series mate

Essentially, we know where all of the Enviro400s in the 2015 order are going, and there are none for Birkenhead. 100 of the 165 on order are for the North West: 46 for Green Lane, 26 for St Helens, 16 for Bootle and 12 for Speke. The remaining 65 are to either Sapphire or MAX spec and have been divided between the Yorkshire, North East, Wales, The Shires and Southern Counties divisions.
The picture with the 2015 order single deckers is somewhat less clear and varies a lot from the press releases. Birkenhead's Streetlites will presumably be identical in appearance to those recently delivered to Telford.
