East of Astley the wires are held up by a few temporary strops in a few isolated locations. SD. I don't think so, missing out Bolton is only a temporary measure from what I remember. SD. The wires are still held up in a number of places by temporary straps though. SD. RE: Lancashire Triangle Electrification - DVG526 - 15/10/2013 12:45 Just been over the Moss, still a few small gaps still in evidence near Astley but a friend from Network Rail informs me that the MENTOR train will be visiting the area very soon and a that part route 'switch on' is imminent.. Looking on real time trains, most Scottish TPE services are now booked over the route from Dec 9.
