According to the latest Green Bus Fund, Selwyns are receiving 6 vehicles. Could these be replacing Ecos in St Helens?

The contracts for that service are still out to tender I believe, to start from some time in 2014 - Possible though, unless they are for Manchester area schools?

EDIT - Just found this reference to more hybirds for TfGM so it could well be the case - http://www.messengernewspapers.co.uk/news/10445366.Greater_Manchester_is_a_green_bus_giant/

This refers to them being for Cheshire, though that could just be as Selwyns is based in Cheshire! - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/203081/green-bus-winning-bids.pdf

Is this going to co-incide with the rumoured introduction of a fare and an extension to the Linkway Tesco do you know Chris? Also, and I'm sorry to pester (honest!), have you heard anything as to what the hybrids are to be?

Can't say I'll be sad to see the Technobus' go; I've never been a fan.

RE: Selwyns Travel - Jack - 29/05/2013 23:40

When are they due? Amazingly I've still not been on one of the Technobuses so need to go for a ride!

Hi there. Can't say too much at the moment as nothing solid confirmed. Tesco extension is more than likely to go ahead now with busses able to reach speed on the link way. As for charging depends if government part funds the routes. Have heard optare hybrids
