66793 has emerged from the Paint Shop in a very striking copy of British Rail's Grey Trainload Construction Livery;

66798 was collected from Immingham today and taken straight down to Eastleigh after a loco swap at Doncaster. It is the former EMD 2003-8561-03 having last operated for Freightliner DE, Berlin and has already had conversion work started before arriving.

At Toton 66795 has been released from the paint shop in standard GBRf livery. It'll soon be moved back to Longport for a few finishing touches before entering service.

Is this the usual method of swapping locos over on a Sunday for/ after maintenance?

It is normally yes unless they come direct from Longport instead. 793 is on trial/ training in and out of the docks as its an altered gear Class 66 similar to that of the Freightliner 66/6s.

Thanks, I wondered why I’d not seen it on the Drax trains this week

There are a few videos on youtube of 66793 towing a class 47 loco + 2 class 508 vehicles which were converted to translator coaches
