Had a friend send me a photo of 3199 which has seemingly had convential mirrors fitted despite the vehicle being delivered with camera mirrors. Any idea why this was done?

Seen a video of a crash damaged 4736 on Queens Drive earlier on… that’s Bootle a bus down now!

4416 has now been withdrawn from service, from what I've heard it's engine will be donated to 4402 at Rhyl.

3019 is currently on loan here to cover for Evora repaints and with this weekends Aintree Races

I caught the 310 from Skelmersdale to Liverpool yesterday, even though there was a 375 [which i caught from Wigan] a few minutes ahead, plenty of people were using it, half of which stayed on the bus through Ormskirk.

Oh, & inspite of the usual diversions because of the National Meeting at Aintree, & roadworks on Dunnings Bridge Road/Park Lane, which traffic was a crawl to get through [& catching what felt like every set of traffic lights on red, which felt like they were on red for an age], the bus ended up being 8 minutes late on arrival at Queen Square.

Whilst i'm here, i find the ex Luton Evora's weird, as the are fitted with fabric seats, rather than the standard e-leather seats that is favoured by the big groups.

I rode one in Luton at Easter 2023 and agreed it seemed unusual.

I plan to ride an indigenous one in Liverpool this summer. I am concerned in case these are cascaded away from the area early due to franchising. They could for example be replaced prematurely by Pulsars off St Helens and Birkenhead.

Those ex-Luton Evoras are ex-dealer stock, hence the non-standard Arriva seating.

I doubt if Arriva would want to trade 72 & 25 reg buses for ones that are older at this moment in time.

My actual concern is that spare Pulsars from St Helens & Birkenhead would go to Bootle, sending the Evoras to replace even older single deckers (including potentially other Pulsars) elsewhere within Arriva.

Even if Arriva win the franchise for Bootle they are likely to have to run LCR ordered buses rather than their own.
